Use your own Raspberry Pi as a Nimbus bridge

Already have a Raspberry Pi? Skip the hardware. You pay for your plan only, download the bridge image, and run it yourself.

How to get started

  1. Create a Nimbus account (free).
  2. Choose a plan: Starter, Basic or Premier. Starter is the usual place to begin. There is no hardware charge. Choose your plan
  3. Download the latest bridge image and flash it to a microSD card. Check the download against its sha256 (shown below when the download is available).
  4. Put the card in your Pi, power it on, and set up the bridge in the Nimbus app, the same way as a Nimbus-built bridge.

The image includes Nimbus’s support access, so Nimbus support can reach your device to help, just as it can on a Nimbus-made bridge.
