How-to

Connect your AI assistant to Nimbus

Ask an AI assistant to find art, build a playlist and put it on your frame, in plain language.

What you can ask it to do

  • Search the Nimbus art library and your own photos.
  • Build, rename and reorder playlists.
  • Put a playlist on a frame.
  • Set crops, schedules, brightness and how often pictures change.

It cannot delete anything: your photos and playlists stay safe, and you remove them yourself in the Nimbus app or on the website.

What you need

  • A Nimbus account.
  • An AI assistant that supports custom connectors.

The connector address

https://agent.nimbusframe.net/mcp

Connect it

  1. In your assistant, add a custom connector and paste the address above.
  2. When asked, sign in with your Nimbus account.
  3. Approval. Access is approved account by account. If yours is not approved yet, you will see “Approval needed: we’ve sent a request to Nimbus support,” and the request reaches us automatically. We’ll approve your account and email you when it’s on.
  4. Connect again. On the consent page, approve the connection.

Claude

Open Customize, then Connectors, choose +, then Add custom connector, and paste the address above. This works on the free plan.

Other assistants

Nimbus is tested with Claude. Other assistants that support custom connectors may work, but we have not confirmed them yet.

Try asking

  • “Find impressionist landscapes and make a playlist called Calm.”
  • “Put the Calm playlist on my living room frame.”
  • “Change pictures every hour.”
